In the age of the Camelbak, rear pockets on cycling tops are almost redundant. This means that you no longer have to ride around in garish lycra roadie tops, or pay silly money for the Polaris or Endura equivalent. Instead you can ride in a T-shirt. DON'T even think of wearing a cotton T-shirt, it'll get soggy, and dangerously cold, but an assortment of outdoor clothing companies do 'technical fabric' T-shirts.
This Polaris Tech Tee is a superb product. The 'airbase' fabric is absolutely amazing. Despite me being once of the sweatiest ***tards around, this top absolutely refused to become wet. During an 800 mile ride in Scandinavia, it only needed washing once. It stays dry, and fresh smelling almost indefinitely. Unlike coolmax, the fabric has also refused to 'pill' yet. The fit is not too loose, not too baggy; you don't feel shrink wrapped, nor get sunburn from an over-baggy neck.
The only problem is the 'Star Trek' logo on the chest. I've had enough smart-arsed 'beam-me-up' comments to last me a lifetime! An absolute wonder at £20, I'll be buying another for next summer.
